this is one of the awesome ways to spruce up a site. I'm still learning the different variations myself. But I think this is the most basic player. Don't mind the ----- those are to seperate the actual player from the notes.

I'm doing a test-post, to see if my html programming will display right. I don't want to have to replace programming brackets with parenthesis.
and I apologise if there's any parenthesis in the programming anywhere, I wrote out the original post with those instead of brackets.
Here goes nothing!
hex color codes
the first two numbers/letters coltrol the amount of red. The second two are for green, and the last two are blue. so if your font color="#0000FF" it'll be bright blue. Hex codes start with 00 at the smallest, and FF at the biggest.
links
<a href="http://www.websiteaddress.com"> link text </A>
images (I'm still learning the popup text tags for these myself. :-)
<IMG src="www.website/image.jpg"> the "img src" is short for image source. I'm not sure what the a href is short for. I'm not exactly sure of sizing tags, either. But I generally buse the rule that if you have to use sizing tags to make it smaller, it's going to eat up bandwidth. and if you're on a free site, you only get so much of it. If I have to have a huge image, I usually make a smaller one to display that links to the bigger one. which brings me to the next item. Making an image that's a link. <a href="http:/www.whateversiteorpage.com">
background colors and images are a fun way to make a page more interesting. My pages aren't exactly the exact same as a webpage template, but here's the top of what I use for most of my pages.
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<html>
<head>
<title>the TransfanCentral Fanfiction Archives </title>
</head>
<body bgcolor="#000000" background="http://www.transfancentral.com/elements/s
text="#ffffff" link="#000000" alink="#000000" vlink="#000000">
<CENTER><img src="http://www.transfancentral.com/elements/h
the doctype public simply means... uhmm... I'l actually have to look that one up, eheh. nevermind. uhmm,
right under the head and title (your page title, displayed at the top of your browser window) are the body tags. You can change the background color using the hex codes (for example, say you want it bright gree, it would be #008800
the # has to be in front of the six-sigit hex code for any color. Backgrounds can be added, but they'll tile if they don't fit the page. If you have a small image, say a pattern or design you want to use tiled it would work perfectly. But if it's too bright, you might not be able to see writing against it.
hmm... maybe I should start with the basic design of a webpage?
next post!
Well, the books my family ordered for christmas finally showed up. lol. I was hoping they'd arrive soon so I could learn how to create input forms that would post to my page instead of sending the input via email. But there was none to be had. But, my dad suggested I start at the beginning of the book. It's Creating Web Pages for dummies, nine books in one.
Anyway, I did start at the beginning of the book. I learned how to make a popup text for images, links, etc. so when you hover it has text. I also learned how to make invisible links. Instead of taking an image and putting text of the same color on top of it or inserting part of the picture to use as an image, I learned how to make part of the existing image into a link. Or several links. lol. This is really really going to help the site. Especially for something like the looking glass site. :-)
I'm also now looking into learning how to imbed a background sound. :-D
I'm learnning a whole lot. Even what the meta tags at the top of my webpages mean (html doctype=public, blah blah blah)
I'm taking notes, since some of the explanations in the book aren't really clear, like the image. You have to have a set of coordinates. Each photo has two coordinates, the horizontal and the vertical. Now, the invisible image link (or invisi-link as I like to call it) has only four. actually, it starts with the top left (which in the programming, it goes top, left, bottom, right.) the actual coordinates are the top left corner, both coordinates, and then the two bottom right coordinates.
I can hardly wait till I learn this background sound imbed. Then the very next section after that is video imbedding. heh. I'm going to learn how to turn offthe auto-play fuinction on transfancentral's music videos section. *grin* And here I was worried about not getting any sitework done. Bweeheeheehee! This is fun.
The book in itself is about, oh, two or three inches thick. I picked it out from a catalog that has discount books. I got it for about 6 bucks. The retail price on the back of the book is $34.99. *grin, grin, grin*
I know most of the html in the first five or so chapters of the book, but there is so much more to learn. I'm going to have SO much fun with this. Here I knew all there was to learn about html. I was getting bored! lol.
I'm going to make a test page, I think, with all the new stuff I've learned. heh. And to think, i was thinking about taking college html courses. snerk. I actually only considered it for about two minutes. Till I saw the price ofthe courses. xDDDD.
does anyone want simplified html tips and help? I can post some ofthe stuff from my book on my journal, if anyone is interested. :-)

I totally forgot what I was going to post about now... lol.
Oh yeah. Sory about that. lol. I'm working on making shout boxes (comment boxes) for all the music videos and online episodes on transfancentral.com. eheh. It's kind of hard since I have to have a different cbox account for every box. (It doesn't allow me to put more than one box on one account). I read the terms of service, and there isn't anything about a limit of cboxes per email address. That's good.
I'm going to go count my music videos so I can put the actual page address on the cbox account. I'll post again when I get them done.
The cbozes will go right onto the music video pages, under the videos and above the links. If I use one cbox fror all the videos, comments for one video would show up on every video page, and I don't want that. lol. i want commenting enabled for evdery video.
Anyway, I'll post again later, when I get them done.
Later!
Here you go kittar! as promised, my Looking Glass Universe Soundtrack.
I'm sorry it took so long. My network was giving me trouble, then I got the. worst. Headache. Ever. Like, the mother of all headaches! I had worn my contacts too long, and my right eye started hurting last night. I took out my contacts, but when I put in another pair today, the pain came back. I ended up with an ache behind my right eye that just pulsed down the nerve into my brain. It was aweful. But my mom loaned me a pair of her glasses, and I've been wearing them on and off all day, and I feel a lot better now.
The links to download each song individually is below. If you want to download the entire thing at once, I have a zip file you can download.
( Music links behind the cut )
I also wrote an LGverse fanfic! the new soundtrack has been really helping me with that! although, I've discovered I have a rather short writing attention span. (at least with the mother of all headaches. lol.) It's another one starring Ribar and Klutch. I got him into my headspace earlier and decided it was unfair to have such an abrupt change to that part of the story without properly explaining the situation with Ribar's "institution". This probably sounds crazy to anyone who doesn't write fanfiction a lot, but I kind of got to "discuss" things with my headcharacter Klutch, and I realised his core personality is the same in both universes. I decided the shattered glass (Looking Glass) version will become the blue twit just like his canonverse counterpart. Ever since I went and changed the canonverse Klutch, I haven't been able to get him back to being the twit. I haven't actually had much of a chance to write him being a jerk, but still. He liked the idea of his SGverse self getting to be "the twit". lol. So, i wrote a little something for him and Ribar, to help explain just how much of an absolute jerk SGverse Ribar is. (I swear, he's a psychopathic power-monger. lol. or a control-freak.) Anyway, here it is.

Just thought I'd post that.
I'm going to start uploading R.I.D. next. Just because I have almost the entire series on my computer. heh.
here's the link for the online episodes menu: http://www.transfancentral.com/episodes.i
there's two menus. If you have a laptop or windoes 7, chances are you have a desktop that's 1000 px wide or more. That's the 2nd index... oh, you'll see.
There's may be blips with the inter-page links not working. I do not know why. The addresses are right, I don't know why they won't work. And it could take a minute or three to load the videos. Oh, I'm rambling.
I'm sorry, I'm just SOOOOOO happy to have this done. i never dreamed in a million years I'd be able to have episodes of transformers on TransfanCentral.com. woohoo!
okay, more later!
*bounces off*
then I got up to the register and they charged me ten bucks for it. guh.
( cut for size. It's Reverb the 'con motorcycle )
And, since
( five of them, cut for size )
Well, that's pretty much it. I'm done uploading the TF Animated episodes to TransfanCentral.com, I'll make pages for season 3 then add the link to the front page. I'll post here when it's done.
I'm trying not to post to the transfancentral comm cause I kind of want to keep the voice project post on top.
more later!
And more pics of Reverb, out of his packager later, too probably.

And here's my latest bit of art. It's the Helix gardens, with Praxus in the background. It's supposed to be a balcony kind of overlooking the city. (Yeah, I found out right after drawing this that the helix gardens are actually crystal formations suspended in methane gas. I watched a fan-dub animated storyboard of the War Within comics on YouTube. That's how I found out.)
Anyway, this is just lined. I lined the crystals with color, to help give it the hue it'll be colored with. (yeah, they're emerald colored. *shrug*
Enjoy!
Commetns are welcomed!
i'll color it later and upload it when I get it done.
